From the idea to the finished garment: A look into our design process
Fashion is much more than the end product you hold in your hands - it tells stories, expresses emotions and is an expression of personality. But how is a piece of clothing actually created? In this blog post, we give you an insight into our design process, which is created in close collaboration with our creative team and our production partners in Portugal.
1. Inspiration: The origin of an idea
Everything starts with an idea. Our creative team draws inspiration from a wide variety of sources - from natural colors to architecture to cultural trends. These sources of inspiration are compiled in mood boards, sketches and color palettes to lay the foundation for each new collection. Our focus is always on one thing: timeless aesthetics that are not only fashionable, but also last across seasons.
2. The draft: From concept to design
Once the creative direction is established, the actual design work begins. Our team works passionately on the development of each garment - from the first sketch to the detailed technical drawing. Fit and functionality also play a major role here, because our designs should not only look good, but also be comfortable and durable.
During this phase, we also pay special attention to materials. Our fabrics – such as organic cotton or sustainable blends – are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality and environmental friendliness.
3. Sample creation and testing: perfection down to the last detail
Before a design goes into production, it is tested through an extensive sample process. The patterns are created and the first prototypes are created. These prototypes are tried on, adjusted and tweaked until they fit perfectly and meet our requirements. It often takes several rounds to fine-tune every detail - from the position of a button to the perfect length of a sleeve.
4. Production: Made in Portugal
Once a design has passed all tests, we hand it over to our experienced production partners in Portugal. Why Portugal? Because we have found the perfect balance between craftsmanship, innovative technologies and fair working conditions. Our partner companies work with precision and attention to detail to ensure that every garment meets our high standards.
Another advantage: our proximity to Europe allows us to have short transport routes and transparent production. This fits with our philosophy of sustainability and slow fashion.
5. Quality assurance: Every piece counts
Before our garments reach you, they undergo strict quality controls. Every detail is checked, from the clean seams to the durability of the fabrics. Only when we are 100% satisfied does the garment leave our warehouse and make its way to you.
6. What drives us: Slow Fashion with heart
Our design process reflects our values: quality, sustainability and timeless aesthetics. We want to create clothes that you not only enjoy wearing, but that will also stay with you for a long time. Each piece is the result of creativity, precision and close collaboration with people who love their work - from our creative team to the seamstresses in Portugal.
Final Thoughts
There is a story behind each of our garments. From the first sketch to the finished product, each design goes through a careful process based on creativity, expertise and responsibility. We are proud to work in Portugal with partners who share our values and create clothes that make a difference - for you and for the world.
