We use cotton whenever we need a particularly soft, supple, and durable material. Furthermore, cotton is very skin-friendly, robust, and easy to care for.

Organic cotton is non-genetically modified cotton grown without toxic pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Its production supports the health of the soil, ecosystems, and people by relying on natural processes. In further processing, we use water-based screen printing, labels made from 100% organic cotton, and dyes made without harmful chemicals. This is identifiable by the GOTS certification of the products.

Lyocell, also known under the brand name Tencel, is the new star of the sustainable textile industry and promises not only exceptional comfort but also a better environmental footprint.

Lyocell is a semi-synthetic fiber derived from wood. We primarily use woods such as eucalyptus, spruce, pine, birch, and beech. The Lyocell manufacturing process is a closed-loop system. No harmful byproducts are generated during production, and the solvents used are non-toxic. Lyocell Tencel is perfect for fabrics with a subtle sheen, creating a more elegant look.

Merino wool is the finest sheep's wool due to its fineness and softness. It is characterized by its particular uniformity, elasticity and lightness. In contrast to conventional wool, merino wool is particularly soft and ensures an ideal microclimate thanks to its particularly good temperature regulation. It is warm and at the same time air-permeable and breathable.

We use wool from controlled organic animal husbandry (kbT). This standard guarantees species-appropriate animal husbandry and feeding, as well as the avoidance of growth promoters and pesticides. Out of love for the animals, we use mulesing-free wool. We already use recycled wool in many products, with the goal of using exclusively recycled wool wherever possible.

For the majority of our fabrics, we rely on 100% natural fibers and, where technically feasible, also use cotton thread for sewing. At the same time, there are some instances where we deliberately make exceptions because the longevity of a garment is also crucial for us.

For a few close-fitting jersey styles, we therefore use up to 5% elastane. This ensures that the garments retain their shape and do not stretch out even after frequent wear and washing.

Here too, we are continuously searching for better solutions. Therefore, starting in autumn/winter 2026, we will be switching our first products to ROICA™ V550. For us, it is currently the best available alternative to conventional elastane. ROICA™ V550 was developed so that the fiber can degrade over time under certain conditions. Furthermore, the material has been awarded Cradle to Cradle Certified® Material Health Gold.

We also carefully consider our sewing threads. Where a seam is subjected to significant stretching or stress during wear, we sometimes use polyester threads, as cotton threads can tear more easily in these areas. Our goal is to use natural materials as consistently as possible without shortening the lifespan of our clothing.

We are also not yet fully satisfied with a solution for elastic bands. Therefore, we take care to use them as selectively and sparingly as possible and are working on finding better alternatives.
